L'Aventurier

A short-lived French series from Arédit-Artima, L'Aventurier ran for just seven issues between 1981 and 1982. The series is most notable for its striking painted covers and the work of artist José Ortiz, whose dynamic, detailed style defined its look. While its brief run kept it from becoming a major hit, it remains a curious artifact of the European adventure-comic boom of the early 1980s.
