Svetozar Obradović

Svetozar Obradović, often known as Toza, was a Serbian writer born on 12 November 1950. He is best remembered for his work in comic books, though his creative output also included articles, essays, short stories, books, and radio dramas. Obradović entered the comics field in the early 1980s, with his credited writing appearing from 1983 to 1990 across 28 issues. His most frequent credits were for the series *Seriemagasinet*, *Kiwi*, *Magnum Comics*, *Cat Claw*, *Magnum*, and *YU strip*. While his signature style leaned toward adventure and genre storytelling, he often collaborated with artists on these titles, contributing to the vibrant Yugoslav comics scene of the era. Obradović’s legacy lies in his versatility as a writer who moved fluidly between media, though his comic book work remains his most recognized contribution. He died on 15 August 2020.
