Paul Chadwick

Paul Chadwick (born 1957) is an American comic book creator best known for his series *Concrete*, which follows a man trapped in a stone body. Born in the United States, Chadwick entered comics in the mid-1980s, bringing a thoughtful, character-driven sensibility to the medium. His signature work, *Concrete*, debuted in 1986 and ran through multiple limited series and specials, including *Concrete: Think Like a Mountain*, *Concrete: Strange Armor*, *Concrete: The Human Dilemma*, and *Concrete: Killer Smile*. Chadwick wrote, penciled, inked, colored, and lettered the series, demonstrating a meticulous control over every aspect of the story. He also contributed to *Star Wars: Empire* and other projects. His art is marked by clean lines, expressive faces, and a grounded realism that balances the fantastical premise of his most famous creation.
