Patricia Martín
Patricia Martín Méndez, born in Mexico City, is a curator and art writer whose work in contemporary art has shaped major cultural institutions across Latin America. She is best known for conceptualizing and directing three influential foundations: Colección Jumex, Fundación Alumnos 47, and Fundación Casa Wabi. At these organizations, she served as chief curator and director of acquisitions, while also developing educational programs, sponsorships, and scholarship initiatives. From 2009 to 2015, she managed the Colección AXA México, and from 2011 to 2014, she oversaw the Residencias Cruzadas program at Casa de Francia in Mexico City. She has curated numerous independent exhibitions and taught conferences, courses, and seminars in Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, and the United States. Her writing includes essays, reviews, articles, and edited art catalogs, and from 2013 to 2018, she published a weekly column in the Mexican newspaper *El Financiero* examining contemporary art within local and global sociopolitical contexts. In our catalog, she is credited across 21 issues from 2015 to 2024, with notable work on *Wrath of the Eternal Warrior*, *Dune*, *Wonder Woman*, *Ninjak*, and *Secret Weapons*.
