Edvin Biuković

Edvin Biuković was a Croatian comics artist known for his clean, expressive linework and atmospheric storytelling. Born on June 22, 1969, in Croatia, he entered the comics field in the mid-1990s, quickly establishing himself as a versatile draftsman. His career, though tragically cut short, spanned work on several high-profile series. Biuković is best remembered for his contributions to the *Star Wars* universe, including *Star Wars: The Last Command*, *Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron*, and the main *Star Wars* title. He also lent his art to *Human Target* and the *Grendel Tales* series, particularly *Devil's Choices* and *Devils and Deaths*, collaborating with writers such as Mike Baron and Matt Wagner. His style blended European comic traditions with American superhero and adventure aesthetics, marked by dynamic compositions and a keen sense of character. Biuković died on December 5, 1999, at age 30. Despite his brief career—credited on 32 issues between 1994 and 1999—his work remains respected among fans of 1990s genre comics.
