Aurélie Neyret

Aurélie Neyret (born 24 May 1983) is a French illustrator and cartoonist best known for her delicate, watercolor-infused work in bande dessinée. She began her career under the pen name Clo, contributing to children's and young adult comics. Neyret is most recognized for her collaboration with writer Joris Chamblain on the series *Het dagboek van Cerise en Valentijn* (known in English as *The Diary of Cerise*), where her soft, expressive linework and pastel palettes brought the story's emotional depth to life. She also illustrated the historical series *Kinderen in het verzet raconten* (*Children of the Resistance Tell*), blending period detail with accessible storytelling. Her credits span fifteen issues from 2015 to 2026, including translations into Dutch, German, and Norwegian. Neyret’s style is noted for its warmth and nuanced character design, often focusing on friendship, memory, and resilience. She has not received major industry awards to date, but her work remains influential in European children's comics. She continues to live and work in France, maintaining a quiet presence in the field while shaping a generation of young readers' visual literacy.
